zzz eyedeekay, how goes the release?
kytv hey orignal
kytv zzz: I know it's on your plate and you're already looking into it, but in case this helps: pastethis.i2p/raw/bcfel9NxPXzNO8h1exGp
eyedeekay zzz I will be able to press this button in the CI and end up with my correct build artifacts(not with the embedded router a version behind) today which will put me within an hour of Easy-Install newsfeed update and have the release done
eyedeekay I'll have f-droid fixed and migrated onto the same host as deb.i2pgit.org after
eyedeekay kytv you left before my time but I remember your site from before, it's interesting to finally meet you
zzz super eyedeekay
zzz kytv, mb3, I have the keepalive issue reproduced locally, I'm hot on the trail, deep in hexdumps of chunked gzipped output
zzz my dechunker is getting lost, that's what I know so far
zzz got it
zzz eyedeekay, this keepalive bug is pretty bad, do you want to wait for it before cutting the bundle?
eyedeekay Yeah a little while longer won't hurt and the bundle is pretty browser-centric
zzz what I'm thinking is to do a 2.5.2. I'll volunteer to do all the release as penance, except for bundle/android/fdroid
eyedeekay I trust your judgement on it, no penance necessary :) Of course if you want to do the release process I certainly won't stop you, I'd appreciate the time to get some polish on the things I have in the works
zzz so you would take the day off today and finish up tomorrow after I get this in
eyedeekay Sure that works for me, I'll be here to sign the feeds when you're ready
zzz ok, let's call that a tentative plan, let me try to get somebody to test the fix first
zzz kytv, mb3, anybody else who's seen the problem, you have the ability to build from source with a patch?
kytv eyedeekay: unless I fail to avoid the buses I'll be around :)
kytv zzz: yes, I can build from source to test
zzz eyedeekay, not really penance, I'd just hate to ask you to start over before you're even finished
zzz ok kytv 5 minutes I'll put a patch up for you
zzz kytv, et al, the fix is on the client-side (aka browser side)
zzz eyedeekay, also probably good for me to do one at least once a year anyway to maintain skills as a backup releaser
eyedeekay Good enough reason for me
kytv built and about to upgrade (t-11)
kytv I'll make sure keep-alive is enabled on the server tunnel
zzz yeah, that's a requirement for testing, re-enable keepalive on both sides
kytv Makes sense :)
kytv zzz: RE: your fix: so far, so good
zzz excellent, thanks for testing
zzz eyedeekay, I'm going to push this, pull translations, and bump to -2-rc, ok?
eyedeekay Fire away
MaggotBrain That gitea server loads with the fix too. zzz++
zzz w00t
dr|z3d chocolate star for zzz.
zzz news pushed to newsxml and transifex, translators please update; blog post draft pushed to www; please review the short diff for the release
zzz the reason nginx server-side was implicated is that it gzips and chunks static content by default, unlike most other servers afaik
zzz making it a good choice for i2p, unless we have a dechunking bug
