T3s|4 o/ dr|z3d - First impression with 402073ac (Build date: 2025-11-09 03:38:41 UTC). Initial tunnel builds were quite slow, only 4 tunnels after 5 mins. However, the router hits its stride between mins 10-15. Plenty of tunnels, all green starred and IRC appears stable. Nice work dr|z3d :)

dr|z3d yeah, we're looking at a slightly longer ramp to standard performance right now, T3s|4.. probably because we're quite heavy on the next-hop lookups for the first 15m.

dr|z3d the intention is to weed out banned routers from our transit tunnels sooner rather than later, because we only perform next-hop lookups on a percentage of routers so we don't overwhelm the router.

dr|z3d If you look at /transitsummary you may notice unreachable L tier routers with more tunnels than normal that feature at the top of the list by default.. they're usually shitty routers on a rapid ip cycle routine.. we want to weed those out.

dr|z3d as those routers are detected, you'll notice the version changes to a banned icon.

dr|z3d if you look at your peers section in the sidebar, you'll notice a second value under known.. that's the number of routerinfos stored on disk.

dr|z3d the more routers you have stored, the more selective your router will be about what it decides to store in terms of bandwidth tiers.

dr|z3d on 5, there was a bug preventing routerinfos from being written to disk.. now we accrue a pool of fast routers that will help with quality tunnel building, especially at startup.
