FreefallHeavens_ Despite said addressbook values being legacy, the router page still references and describes these variables as if they still do things. There's an OPTIONS section.
FreefallHeavens_ In addition to the normal router_addressbook=../hosts.txt I also have a naming_service=hosts.txt and I can't find any documentation anywhere as to what that was.
FreefallHeavens_ as well as update_direct=false
dr|z3d there's a ton of legacy stuff in the code that probably needs looking at.
dr|z3d update_direct appeears to refer to the method that's used to store the addressbooks.
dr|z3d if update_direct is set to true, it looks like it'll use .txt files instead of the blockfile to store addresses.
dr|z3d (probably not recommended)
T3s|4 dr|z3d: I Updated from +, not canon - but thanks for forcing me to check...somehow skank.i2p/dev/i2pupdate.zip, which I've had enabled for years on all my rigs, got reverted to: skank.i2p/i2pupdate.zip = mystery solved and fixed :)
T3s|4 dr|z3d: to my horror, I just noticed the ^same skank link reversion on another rig - could one of bumps have caused this reversion?
dr|z3d anything is possible, but it shouldn't happen and I haven't seen similar behavior here.
T3s|4 noted, but I will check my other systems today
T3s|4 dr|z3d: tried to reproduce the console 'non-dev' update link reversion on several systems, but could not. Only 2 assumptions remain: Either I grabbed a janky update file, or it was an unnoticed k/b link overwrite error on my end, despite never desiring to change the dev URL :)
dr|z3d I suspect a pebcak issue :)
T3s|4 likely ;p
RN sudo pip install -U pebcak
