waffles
hello friends
dr|z3d
what's new and different, waffles?
waffles
today i tried to apply for jobs
waffles
no luck, i tried everyone in the area
waffles
which surprised me because this isnt a rural area or anything there should be jobs
waffles
this made me depressed so i applied to the ukrainian foreign legion so instead of wasting away at home i can waste away in a trench somewhere
dr|z3d
jobs don't turn up in a day. you have to be persistent. in the meantime, make yourself felt on this network. put up a site, refine it, make it sexy.
waffles
oh yeah rn im using github pages
waffles
but yeah i havent had a job in... probably a couple years so its about time i got one
waffles
amazon says theyre hiring so if the meat grinder doesnt work out i can always work there
waffles
(yes i realize im posting identifiable information if u dont want me to blog lmk)
waffles
uh i saw theres a peertube instance in i2p is that a place i can upload my channels videos
waffles
im on peertube already but its a clearnet address called tilvids
waffles
the admins have been away for some time so ive been shopping around for instances but nobody wants to spare any bandwidth
dr|z3d
youtube proxies are problematic, mostly because youtube keep trying to break them.
waffles
whatcha mean
waffles
like invidious or freetube or something
dr|z3d
right
waffles
oh peertube is like a video hosting service
dr|z3d
ok
waffles
kinda like instead of uploading your videos to youtube you upload to odyssee
wew
dr|z3d, creating server tunnels doesn't work with js enabled again. Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Window.fetch: HEAD or GET Request cannot have a body.
wew
2.9.0-24+
dr|z3d
wew_: works here, try ctrl+shift+r in your browser.
dr|z3d
let me know if that fixes it for you.
dr|z3d
bonus points: /configsidebar now has a toggle for the unified sidebar feature.
wew
dr|z3d oh yeah forgot about it. thanks
dr|z3d
working?
wew
yep
wew
and unified sidebar toggle is nice
dr|z3d
just remember, any time you update, always refresh assets with ctrl+shift+r for the console and webapps (snark etc).
dr|z3d
I thought you'd switched to i2pd. got bored? :)
waffles
happy timezone friendsw
wew
dr|z3d made a vm on my desktop pc to use/host i2p stuff
wew

dr|z3d

wew

wew

dr|z3d

wew
so what is all about ntcp2 preferred again? 1200 ntcp2 and 10 ssu2 connections lol
dr|z3d
/**
dr|z3d
* If i2np.udp.preferred is set to "always", UDP bids will always be under the bid from
dr|z3d
* the TCP transport - even if a TCP connection already exists.
dr|z3d
* If set to "true", UDP is preferred unless no UDP session exists and a TCP connection
dr|z3d
* already exists.
dr|z3d
* If it is set to "false" (the default), it will prefer TCP unless no TCP session exists
dr|z3d
* and a UDP connection already exists.
dr|z3d
*/
wew
yeah i see that, but what's the problem with udp? why tcp is preferred by default
dr|z3d
tcp is more robust
dr|z3d
tldr; TCP guarantees reliable delivery with error checking, acknowledgment, retransmission, and reassembly of out-of-order packets, whereas UDP offers minimal error checking without guarantees of packet order or delivery, favoring speed and efficiency over reliability.
wew
disconnect

orignal
i2pd prefers NTCP2 for unknown routers
waffles
