who wants a cpu load bar in their I2P+ sidebar?
not_bob
That would not be a bad thing.
dr|z3d
expect one soon.
not_bob
Awesome
dr|z3d
it's done. just needs proper themeing.
not_bob
Though, I rarely look at the I2P+ console at this point.
not_bob
But, sometimes!
not_bob
dr|z3d: Thank you for taling with zzz about the i2psnark search thing.
dr|z3d
it's something I've thought would be useful, and now that it's implemented, it can also be used to throttle other things when required.
dr|z3d
np
not_bob
Nice
not_bob
I think I've cleared up my desires in #i2p-dev
dr|z3d
you forgot to mention that a query param based filter mechanism similar to how I2P+ does filtering with javascript would be useful. might as well get that in there :)
dr|z3d
but yeah, if we can monitor overall cpu usage as a percentage, which we can, we can also do things like throttle part tunnels, skip various jobs and requeue them etc.
not_bob
There.
dr|z3d
pfft.
not_bob
No?
not_bob
I can't take it back now.
dr|z3d
copy paste king :P no, that's fine.
not_bob
I didn't see any point in rewording it.
dr|z3d
fair enough
not_bob
Posted to zzz.i2p as well.
not_bob
Have you ever used 333.i2p? :)
dr|z3d
I've visited it.
not_bob
Anyway, sleep! Night!
dr|z3d
sleep well
dr|z3d
ok, sidebar cpu load bar implemented and available on the /dev/ branch. you'll need to manually add the bar via /configsidebar (for now). light and dark themes should look ok, other themes to follow.
dr|z3d
readout may not yet be totally correct, but anyways. it will be, and you'll get the basic idea.
dr|z3d
readout is currently reporting system load average, not jvm cpu load.

dr|z3d The cpu sidebar widget does not match the memory usage widget. cake.i2p/file/RI4Vq040SL_0hadKr3qNZTwUqw1IuD8Of7V6yey7d_q2Kit8nV0l/incorrectsize.jpg
dr|z3d
which theme, y2kboy23?
dr|z3d
and presumably you've already executed a CTRL+SHIFT+R in your browser?
dr|z3d
ok, midnight theme, let me check the status of that locally.
y2kboy23
dr|z3d Just refreshed the page and it matches lol
dr|z3d
ah :)
y2kboy23
false alarm
dr|z3d
does it appear to be working as intended?
y2kboy23
I think so. haven't really compared side by side host and the console
dr|z3d
documentation's a bit all over the place, but I *think* it's mostly working as intended, though on one box the bar's a bit erratic.
