Reinhilde my hard drive-based PC has less latency than this phone. SSD promoters BTFO (although my PC has 36GB of ZFS L1ARC, soooo)
dr|z3d on your phone? unlikely.
dr|z3d micro sd, perhaps. not quite the same, though the performance of the newer cards is pretty good, 100MB/s+ sustained write speeds.
Reinhilde dr|z3d: EMMC has low throughput but shouldn't it also have low latency?
Reinhilde hard drives have seek times
dr|z3d emmc is half duplex.
dr|z3d as for latency, in theory you'd think that sd cards would be low latency, but I'm not sure that's the case, at least for your average phone storage.
T3s|4 dr|z3d: noted on your earlier i2np.ssu2.enable=true comments
dr|z3d if you enabled it, don't tell us, T3s|4!
dr|z3d that said, if you're firewalled or otherwise not directly contactable, then there's less risk of identification.
T3s|4 As I mentioned, I read your comments ;)
dr|z3d I think the pool of SSU2-enabled peers will increase fairly swiftly. I think i2pd's now enabling ssu2 in their dev builds.
dr|z3d oh, and a feature request fulfilled.
dr|z3d something about a less square download button in the dark theme.
T3s|4 nice! :D
T3s|4 looks good dr|z3d - I'll need one more update cycle to see it on my dark instance
dr|z3d I think I'm just about done with the button refinements now.
T3s|4_ dr|z3d: ^indeed, my first ovalized dark 'update available' has appeared; many tears now flowing ;D
dr|z3d haha, great, T3s|4 :)
T3s|4 dr|z3d: the oval looks even better in 4K, thanks
dr|z3d you're welcome, T3s|4
dr|z3d anyone got time on their hands, please check nitter.skank.i2p and let me know if it's fast enough for you. new backend caching in effect.
not_bob dr|z3d: Yeah, it works well.
not_bob nitter
not_bob Also, progress on the front page graph. Nothing to show yet. But, it will be cool when I get it done.
