Hm, Hidden Service Manager not working if not starting TunnelControllerGroup-clients might just be logical, so not sure if this is worth your attention. But "reload in 2 mins" as a message that didn't help me there ;) I disabled it manually and knowingly (years ago) though, to be clear. But finding about this dependency took me several hours. Just figured you might wanna have heard about it at least?
zzz
sure, we could try to spit out a better message
zzz
might be tricky though. will put it on the list
lbt
Thank you :) I could have made a ticket, just wasn't sure if it's worth it. And maybe a note in the config-file (I probably disabled it there) could just prevent it happening? I think you can't turn the group off in the GUI, not sure though, just guessing a lot ;)
zzz
or maybe we could just not put H.S.M. link in the sidebar at all. Not sure if that would make it better or worse
lbt
The hidden services are in a different section than the client tunnels on that pages - I think that makes it "counter-intuitive" that turning off client tunnels will disable all of the page. At least from looking at it now. But I'm not aware what might conceptually be behind all this, so ...
zzz
lbt, verified we already have code to hide the H.S.M. link if not running, but it's not working. I see why, now definitely on the list :)
