zzz: hi! In I2PSnark (standalone) we have issue: with activated checkbox "auto-starting torrents" torrents not started with I2PSnark. All torrents need starting manually. Now I writing tutorial about bitTorrent over I2P and I2PSnark is fine solution for all: seed-box with Raspberry or VPS, but seed-box without auto-start for torrent seeding/downloading is invalid solution by design. Can you check this bug?
zzz
acetone, ok, I haven't tested it. There are a few cases to try: router or snark shuts down first; router or snark starts first. Will take some time.
acetone
zzz: hello. Okay. My case (also reported by another users): i2pd and I2PSnark. In my case i2pd starts first
zzz
yeah the way things are shut down also matters, because snark remembers which torrents were running, but the code may not work right for standalone
zzz
There is a "start all" button in the upper right that looks like >* so you can tell people to use that in the tutorial
acetone
zzz: yep I see this button and always use it
acetone
but it's not a automatically (if server has been rebooted, etc)
zzz
yes, I understand
acetone
If fix is possible (write this settings to main settings file or some this) it's will beatiful
zzz

zzz: perhaps for standalone snark, as a failsafe fallback, in the event there's no session state when snark starts and autostart is active, everything gets started?
zzz
maybe. I gotta work through it. If you could help reproduce the issue or find out when it works and when it doesn't that would be helpful
zzz
if a torrent is marked as running, autostart is on, and the router is down, the torrent will be marked as stopped and it won't autostart next time
acetone
zzz: I think in standalone version auto-start for all torrents is a good idea (if autostart is enabled). Without checking their markers: start all
zzz
Maybe. the second problem is that there's no retry after the router connect fails.

zzz: another snark bug, this one occurs when a torrent loads before tunnels are up and you attempt to start it: bpa.st/GU6A
