dr|z3d waffles: your next project is an image gallery of your work.
dr|z3d > waffles: your next project is an image gallery of your work.
waffles lmao yeah dr|z3d
waffles ive just been deleting stuff rn
dr|z3d you got xnview installed?
dr|z3d sort it. easiest way to manage your renders.
dr|z3d you can thank me later.
dr|z3d just like not_bob_afk2 will when he's installed znc. :)
waffles gotcha xd
waffles i will reboot a sec my computers acting kinda funky
dr|z3d could be comfy.. remember, it'll use swap space like you're not used to, and that can slow things down.
dr|z3d that's why more ram more better for comfy. ideally you want enough ram to not require swap.
waffles comfy is shutdown rn ive just got this message that keeps popping up in the terminal
waffles i have to shut it down when i start gaming
dr|z3d what's the message?
waffles -bash: pyenv: command not found
waffles if i reboot itll disappear id imagine
dr|z3d no, don't reboot.
waffles oh it was in my bashrc that was why
waffles just deleted it from there im not using pyenv rn, couldnt get it working
dr|z3d you did follow that process?
waffles yeah i ran into some boogs
waffles ill work on that later something was up with it and im not willing to deal with it rn
dr|z3d probably a pebcak issue :)
waffles yeah probably xd
waffles i shit you not though i ran your script as you wrote it and it would error out
waffles i debugged it a bit but ran into more errors
dr|z3d yeah, I missed the part where you pyenv install 3.12
waffles i was missing a bunch of dependencies too it looked like
dr|z3d and of course if you've already cloned the comfy git repo, running those commands again would cause an error.
waffles yeah for now comfy is running fine with the official guide
dr|z3d entirely possible.
dr|z3d ok, if it works for you, great.
waffles but yeah thx for getting me into this im excited to finally like use my gpu for something
waffles i dont think im gonna use it in my channel though my audience is the kind of people that dont want ai slop in their feed
dr|z3d create an i2p gallery. you'll find it rewarding, maybe, and it focuses what you generate.
dr|z3d and don't forget LLMs, those will also run nice on your card.
dr|z3d llama-cpp.com is ready to go with a webui. ollama.com will give you an api you can leverage in comfyui.
waffles oh nice
dr|z3d just remember, the same as for image generation, try to avoid downloading models larger than your vram capacity, so probably 22GB or less. LLMs will overflow to system ram, but you want to avoid that otherwise they slow down massively.
waffles yeah definitely, i noticed my computer slowing to a crawl while the models spin up
waffles once its actually running i can multitask
dr|z3d you can try running comfy with some arguments: python main.py --reserve-vram 1 --cache-none --disable-smart-memory
dr|z3d that may allow you to use your computer while comfy's generating.
not_bob dr|z3d: I plan to try it, but I still think it just adds more steps to my current setup (znc).
not_bob More steps with little benifit. I've moved my IRC client to a much faster i2p router.
dr|z3d trust me, you'll kick yourself for not installing it sooner :)
not_bob_afk And I do not disagree ythat you are likely right. But, it's a low priority right now.
dr|z3d when you're ready..
not_bob_afk Alas, drive time!
dr|z3d drive safely!
dr|z3d harry: ping
H20 Pong.
H20 The moon is a dead parrot.
cumlord is easiest way to change tunnel settings over several routers to send out config files and do a restart?
dr|z3d depends on your definition of easiest, depends on whether the tunnels share exactly the same config, depends on number of routers.
dr|z3d if you don't want to restart, you can just restart Application Tunnels client on /configclients
dr|z3d (in which case you might as well just edit the configs in the Tunnel Manager first)
dr|z3d that is, unless you're attempting to change 10+ router configs.
cumlord basically I want to change like 60-100 tunnel configs at a time across several routers, I split them up vaguely by load and to multihome to avoid LS expire issue
cumlord maybe restart application tunnels could work or I’ll just make another scraper to do it
dr|z3d I'd probably write a script you can deploy on each server using sed to update the defs.
dr|z3d but up to you.
dr|z3d there's no right answer, just whatever works best for you, whatever you find most convenient.
snex cant just do POST calls to the router api?
cumlord something like that could work, I have a script to keep some other configs synced that I could probably use
dr|z3d if you want something more robust, Ansible.
cumlord no idea never messed with that api lol
snex just look at your network tab in the browser when you click things, then replay those urls
cumlord have a feeling it’d be similar to the scraper I did for snarks to change settings
dr|z3d ok, latest + dev build improves the lead time for susidns status/category indicators, should now be ready within 5s of uptime.
cumlord nice haven’t looked into ansible
cumlord really what I’m going for is if my services are under attack I want to be able to enter “defcon mode” across everything
dr|z3d ansible would be good for that. roll out a single config to all your routers.
waffles could you call on lady day
waffles could you call on john coltrane
dr|z3d where's your gallery, waffles? :)
waffles oh yeah i need to open nview or whatever
dr|z3d no, I mean where's your eepsite gallery.
waffles oh do i need to host an eepsite for that
waffles is that something i can do
dr|z3d you can use xnview while you're thinking of how to use ollama/llama.cpp to code your own gallery backend.. xnview will generate a simple html viewer/thumbnailer you can host as a website.
dr|z3d not bad pic, hands give it away.
waffles ohhh ya i got u
dr|z3d the title of that one - "Some like 'em thick"
waffles ok so if i wanted to make waffles.i2p is that something i can do
dr|z3d very much so.
dr|z3d also, use xnview to convert your images to webp format.. you don't want to be hosting pngs.
waffles yeah good idea
dr|z3d (you can batch convert and resize at the same time to get a consistent size)
dr|z3d for super high quality 95% quality setting in xnview is good, but experiment and see what works for you.
dr|z3d (for webp conversion)
dr|z3d xnview will also batch convert using all your threads, so it can rip through hundreds of images in a matter of seconds.
waffles is there a guide on setting up the webserver tunne
waffles i see in the web hosting guide that i already have a sample website but i need to enable that tunnel
waffles oh it looks like its already enabled yay
dr|z3d you have it already configured. just need to start it (and make sure it automatically starts). make sure you put your website hostname in the appropriate input in the configs. and then register with stats.i2p/and or reg.i2p
dr|z3d (Tunnel Manager)
dr|z3d 7658 is your webserver, you'll get a b32 when you start it in the tunnel manager.
dr|z3d but read the guide, most stuff should be covered.
waffles ok im seeing my website locally yeah
waffles *** continues reading ***
waffles so it says b32 address is the one to share, b64 is the one i see on the page
dr|z3d register waffles.i2p on stats and or reg. then you can share waffles.i2p
waffles might need to let my tubes warm up a bit
dr|z3d and don't lose your .dat key. back that up somewhere, keep it safe. lose that, lose your hostname.
waffles cause i submit the auth thing and it says website unreachabble for reg.i2p/add
dr|z3d (once you've registered, that is.)
waffles so if i need to migrate this site to a second computer is that something i can do
dr|z3d sure, the dat file is the main thing.
dr|z3d that gives you control of your hostname, once registered. you can host the same site on multiple routers (multi-homing) for redundancy, better anonymity, load balancing.
waffles ok so im still on that page but i dont see the .dat on reg.i2p
dr|z3d tunnel manager -> private key file. is located in .i2p/
waffles oh if i clicked generate on accident did that refresh everything
waffles and its my router.keys.dat right
waffles or eeppriv
dr|z3d see what tunnel manager -> your site -> configs -> private key tells you.
dr|z3d if you edit the key name in the tunnel manager (try waffles.dat), then stop the server in the tunnel manager, then edit the filename to waffles.dat, then start the server again, it will use something that will better identify itself when you back it up / migrate it.
waffles ok yeah its eeppriv.dat
dr|z3d as a general rule, when creating new server tunnels, specify hostname.dat as the private key name before you start the tunnel. makes things easier.
waffles alright i copied eepriv and renamed it to waffles.dat then edited the configuration to use waffles.dat
waffles is there an i2p pastebin
waffles address book for the site
