yeah, the default is tweaked somewhat to ensure the best possible latency for irc.

the tunnel config for irc2p is customized. if you create your own irc tunnel, you'll get the default settings.

interesting thing im seeing in my i2p+ router. count of ssu2 connections is 10x fewer than ntcp2. any particular reason for that? just researching. i dont have firewall anymore, status ok. just so you know

yeah, ssu2 is a bit of a mystery to me, connection-wise.

we favor ntcp connections over ssu2, but I'm not entirely sure that's the reason for the discrepancy. it's been on my TODO list for a while to investigate.
