We can do Windows without a cert but auto-updates are broken without a cert because without a cert Windows asks you every time "Are you sure?"

But there is one difference which matters, which is that in the initial install the launcher is launched by a person who can give permission, whereas during an update it is launched by the I2P process, which is typically denied unless the user goes into control panel to allow it.

anyway I just want to be super clear about the su3. Teach StormyCloud all you want about su3 and newsxml, but you have to do it for 2.11 and 2.12

Ack will do, as long as you mean feed signer. I do not have the cert for the old Mac bundles and never had it, so those users will need to uninstall/reinstall to make anything work regardless of the feed signer. On Windows I can silently replace the unsigned package with a signed one and make things work right again.

Right su3 signer I can be su3 signer too. Just not the OS certs, nobody has the old ones

yes the StormyCloud su3 cert is not recognized in current installs. you have to create/sign them yourself with your key. both win and mac. both 2.11 and 2.12

and the dmg is a different su3 file type than exe so verify you give it the right code
