Hmmm... That was not on my list to look at, thanks orignal
orignal
seriously I don't use any ide
orignal
right now xed and make in terminal window
RN
yeah, I'm mostly in nano, which with context colors does great for me. I'm just looking to see if I'd make use of extra features like function completion, etc.
obscuratus
I don't use an IDE either, unless you consider Bluefish and IDE.
obscuratus
Sometimes I use Bluefish, often I just use nano.
dr|z3d
bluefish is good, but it doesn't really qualify as an ide.
dr|z3d
well, I say "good", but there are some things which are less than ideal. but you get what you pay for :)
dr|z3d
I've tried various ides on linux with a view to assisting with java development. netbeans, eclipse. clunky at best, though they have their supporters. for me vscode/codium is the best native linux ide I've seen to date.
dr|z3d
the addon ecosystem is very active, not much you can't do.
RN
mm.. ok, but is it unix native?
RN
;)
dr|z3d
should be, RN.
dr|z3d
in other words, it's not running on wine, or java for that matter. java-based ides are best avoided.
RN
noted
RN
we all dislike java-based stuff ya know...
