GoosePolice2385
Hi everyone
GoosePolice2385
I'm running a floodfill server with unlimited bandwidth in my homelab and I'm having firewall issues on both v4 and v6. I'm running freebsd and don't have a firewall setup but I do have an enterprise mikrotik router and I can't find much information about which ports to forward
GoosePolice2385
Some people say to not forward ports while other says that ports are randomized
GoosePolice2385
In the webconsole I see "our external address", are these the ports I should forward ?
RN
In the java implementation the secret port is randomized when the router first fires up or if the ip address changes
RN
I presume the same for i2pd
RN
don't tell anyone this port number
RN
since you are here GoosePolice2387, I presume you are running i2pd... I don't know where to find the port on that version.
GoosePolice2386
I am RN, I modified the config file to use the same port and forwarded the port for v4 and added a v6 entry in my firewall. I tested with netcat and the connection says it's open but i2pd still says it's firewall. might be a false positive
GoosePolice2386
Or it might not be a false positive, on my computer I have the java implementation running and I am getting twice as much peers there
