Sadly, the journalists we rely on for "unbiased" information -- and the professionals and political figures they report on -- also frequently have a vested interest in heightening and manipulating the public's natural fears of the unknown. In their work, these "professionals" often follow a very similar process of borrowing from and embellishing upon mythology.
