not_bob Blinded message
RN Blinded message
not_bob Blinded message
RN Blinded message
RN oops I ran out of dot fluid
not_bob I might have some in my pocket.
not_bob Hmm, nope. Kid ate them all.
not_bob I hate when that happens.
RN darn
RN I'd download some but Napster is taking all my bands with
not_bob I'd ask my grandma, but she's busy being arrested because she has a hacked IP.
RN yeah those olders - you gotta keep an eye on them
not_bob Would you download a car?
RN yes in a second
not_bob Or, do you remember "Don't copy that floppy!"
RN well, maybe longer than a second
RN "Be kind - rewind"
not_bob hehehehe
not_bob Good stuff.
not_bob Though, it's my opinion that some places took advantage of piracy to increase sales.
RN yeah the good ol days
not_bob Windows, word and so on were so easy to bypass back in the day. It's like they wanted us to do it.
not_bob And, I'm sure they did.
RN flood the trackers with bad cams
RN or the one where instead of what it claimed to be was a scolding lecture about piracy
not_bob lol, yes.
RN I had forgotten about the download a car one
not_bob There is a site here on I2P where you can download guns.
not_bob I did a review on it a while back.
not_bob Though, that being said. Doing so is not a great idea.
RN yes. maybe more than one
not_bob Great way to loose fingers.
RN yeah you need to know what you are doing with things that can go boom
not_bob *nod*
not_bob It's a good thing the only thing I ever download are linux isos.
RN yeah I can never have enough copies of those
not_bob It's nice to have varity!
not_bob How many vms can I run at once?
not_bob SO MANY!
not_bob Even more if you use NetBSD with only 64 megs of ram each.
eyedeekay I hate google so freakin' much. "We need to be sure it's you, we'll send you a sign-in link in 24 hours"
dr|z3d wtf is that about? that's not normal.
eyedeekay Define normal. They do this to me pretty predictably, I have to go through it about once every 4 months or every time I get a new device
eyedeekay It's a bunch of hoops, I actually sometimes even talk to a person, last time they let me prove who I was by signing a message with my GPG key associated with my account
dr|z3d normal is a link immediately. but then I guess they're obnoxious when it comes to google play.
eyedeekay But it's because the name on my Google account is "Homer Simpson" and before that it was "Irwin Fletcher" and before that it was "Hank Hill" and they really want my government name
dr|z3d why not just use your real name. we all know it's Irvin Keys
eyedeekay I was going to get literary with the next one and be "Hawley Griffin" for a while because they're driving me freakin' crazy
dr|z3d they've probably got some sort of AI bot weeding out the obvious cloned names, so go with something original.
eyedeekay Yeah you're probably right. TBH I kinda didn't want to hide that I was using an alias. Every time they assure me it's settled and I shouldn't have more issues(And can just be Homer), but whatever changes is regularly reset.
eyedeekay It would be easier on all of us if I could just use one alias with them
dr|z3d if you're on a new ip, they get tetchy, often.
eyedeekay There's some kind of fingerprinting involved too, they can tell the difference between my Thinkpad and my Yoga when I copy Firefox profiles between them
dr|z3d that's likely just a user-agent sniff.
eyedeekay That's controlled for, they're identical user-agents
RN I see similar issues in a group I know that shares a google workspace for documents and rotates resposible parties regularly
RN changes in IP are also triggering
eyedeekay Nearly identical software except for one wifi firmware
dr|z3d oh, then there's something else they're sniffing. country code, screen res.. with js enabled they're all over your device :)
RN and persistent cookies (and similar more hidden tracking items)
eyedeekay I think the xfce panel bar is 32 pixels on the thinkpad and 24 pixels on the Yoga... that's probably the difference when the browser is fullscreen, 12 pixels taller
eyedeekay Guess I should letterbox
dr|z3d or tweak the xfce4 panel height.
